One of the most satisfying things about making cakes is merging the creative designs of the people they're for with mine. For example, Melissa's cake. Melissa is a beautiful young lady; the daughter of some very dear friends. Our families were drawn together when Karl coached their son Matthew in Little League Baseball. Back then, Melissa was this little cutie and it's been such a blessing seeing her grow into a lovely young lady.
When I deliver a cake, the joy, surprise, and excitement is something to behold...I REALLY LOVE IT. But as fun as the cakes are, the people I make them for are even more amazing.
Melissa, this cake is amazingly fun; but you, my dear are more so.
